Meet Dr. Caswell
Dr. Kimi S. Caswell
DDS, MS
Education
Dr. Caswell knew from an early age that she wanted to help people achieve the beautiful, healthy smiles they desired. Her journey began at Drury College in Springfield, Missouri where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology.
After completing dental school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in the top 10% of her class and membership in the honorary society of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Dr. Caswell was led to Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
At Northwestern, Dr. Caswell graduated with a Master of Science in Oral Biology and achieved a certificate in orthodontics. Shortly after graduating, she ventured to Oklahoma and began her practice of orthodontics in a large, dynamic orthodontic office.
Finding “home”
Oklahoma was nice but did not quite fit the ideals of this visionary. After a year there, Dr. Caswell set sail for Honolulu, Hawaii where she joined the ranks of world-renowned orthodontist and Olympic weightlifter, Dr. Peter George.
During her time as an associate of Dr. George, Dr. Caswell had an impact on many lives here in Hawaii. She served on the Queen’s Hospital Cleft Lip and Palate Team by providing comprehensive orthodontic care to children with special needs, which she continues to this day.
Dr. Caswell also had the pleasure of treating patients in Kwajalein on a regular basis. While still working with Dr. George, Dr. Caswell endeavored to begin her own private orthodontic practice.
The birth of Caswell Orthodontics
In addition to her office in Honolulu on Ward Ave., Dr. Caswell cared for her patients in satellite offices in Kahala and Mililani. Thus began a flourishing orthodontic practice. Dr. Caswell opened the doors of her practice in 1995 and has been changing smiles and lives ever since.
In February 2012, the location of her Ward Office changed from the Honolulu Club Building to 1210 Ward Avenue.
Expertise
Since 2005, Honolulu Magazine has consistently recognized Dr. Caswell as one of Hawaii's best dentists. She is Hawaii’s leading Invisalign® provider and is frequently asked to lecture on behalf of Invisalign®.
In 2012, Dr. Caswell presented a lecture in Japan on clear aligner therapy. She and her staff also attend the Invisalign® summit bi-annually, where she is recognized as part of the top 1% of Invisalign® providers in the world.

As a working mother of two beautiful daughters, Dr. Caswell still finds time to contribute her expertise to many dental organizations. She is an active member of:
- The American Association of Orthodontics
- The Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics
- The Hawaii Dental Association

Dr. Caswell enjoys serving as the Chairperson of the Hanahau’oli annual fair face-painting booth and has donated many orthodontic cases for the benefit of local charities.
Environmental interest
A true environmentalist, Dr. Caswell does all she can to care for our island home as well as our planet. She influences her employees and patients to do the same. Beach clean-ups and other weekend service projects are small examples of Dr. Caswell’s heart for the environment.
In 2008, Dr. Caswell launched a “go green” campaign in her office and encouraged her patients to submit ideas and essays on how we can do our part in preserving our planet.
Personal life
In her spare time, Dr. Caswell enjoys spending time with her daughters and dogs, exercising, and traveling. When asked what she enjoys most about being an orthodontist, Dr. Caswell exclaimed, “empowering dreams one smile at a time.”
